Hey there,
I'm a tad confused by the photos app. I wondered whether anyone could help me out.
Why does it take forever to "export" photos to a folder on my desktop. I'm just dragging and dropping but I get the circle at the top of the Photos app which gradually fills, the fans grind away and it takes ages. I have it set to download originals to mac so they should all be local. It never did this in iPhoto. What's going on?
There are videos there too and when I look at activity monitor com.apple.photos.videoconversion service is going full blast. But what's it converting from? And why? Surely it should just be copying a file from one place to another?
Why is it exporting anyway? Why isn't it just calling it "copying."
What mysteries does Photos hold?
Thanks in advance.
