What OS X will an Early 2011 MacBook Pro come with?

Hi all,

I have just bought a refurbed 17" MacBook Pro off the Apple website. Any idea if it comes with Snow or Lion and if Snow Leopard will I get the discs. Reason I'm asking is I want to upgrade to SSD and I know there are so many different ways about upgrading to SSD. Giving myself brain ache.

Anything you buy from Apple now, new or refurbished, will come with Lion. With that model, there are ways to downgrade to Snow Leopard if you really need to, but it should ship with Lion already installed. It may or may not come with OS X Install disks, but if it does, they will have Snow Leopard on them.

Nice one. Thanks. It seems like a bit of a pain installing an SSD when they come with Lion and no discs.
