If they come up with an adapter with headphone and lightning port combined, it's still doable. However, I did not see one.

Until then, i'm afraid it's not going to work for me. I have a 6, and I don't really need anything else anyway....fortunately :)

(Nothing like running out of battery power when using the wired earbuds adapter they now have.
(I will NOT go there, thank you :D )

I think it's a very small minority who relied entirely on the wired buds for everything. So, who knows.

I'm sticking with older iPhones, either my 6+ or buying an SE. I'll wait a year or two and see if Apple adds the jack back (unlikely) or see if Android follows, if android sticks with the jack then I will go there, and if the rest of the world switches away and standardizes on USB C then I'll buy something that uses that.

If people using iPhones cannot accept that they are not only being supplied with a pair of EarPods that have a lightning connector, PLUS a rather conservative looking lighting to 3.5mm adapter, both at no extra cost......then I guess enjoy using old tech or move to android. Man, the things we choose to complain about these days lol.

Considering the poll in the other thread said 30% of us won't buy the new iPhone without a 3.5mm jack, I'm not sure I'd say a small minority...especially considering most here tend to be on the leading edge of tech.

Heck, if even 10% of expected iPhone buyers stay away because of it, it would be a big problem for Apple.

I care about it but it isn't enough reason for me to leave Apple - too great a phone and system for that.

I'm sure there will be solutions - Apple didn't announce all accessories I'm sure

So did I and nothing is really changing. I'll continue to use my standard headphone jack headphones with the adapter they are including with the 7.
