my personal prediction:

4,7 16gb $650
4,7 32gb $750
4,7 64gb $850

5,5 32gb $850
5,5 64gb $950
5,5 128gb $1050

well, there were rumors of a $100 price increase compared to the 5s. If this is the case then we are looking at:

4,7 16gb $750
4,7 32gb $850
4,7 64gb $950

5,5 32gb $950
5,5 64gb $1050
5,5 128gb $1150

this takes into account the recent rumors that the minimum storage will be 16gb while the maximum will be 128gb, plus the fact apple releases 3 storage variations of each iPhone.

Wow that's expensive! Dare I say I'm no longer considering a launch day purchase if it's 800+tax for 16gb.

Carl approves these prices;)

This makes the most sense, based off of the current pricing structure.

So you think it will be $100 more than Apple has charged for the last 4 years, and $200 more than that for the 5.5" version? Think about that for just a second.......ok now, what do you think would happen if Apple charged $100 more for their base model phone, and then $200 more for their 5.5" phone? How would you predict the sells to turn out?

IMO, the most unknown variable is storage capacities, both with the new models and with past models. I would like to think they're upping everything, but not sure with all of their talk of expanded iCloud storage with iOS 8.

I've set aside £900 for the iPhone 6, i'm not sure if i will get the 4.7" or 5.5" i need to see Apple announce them on stage first. I do like the idea of the 5.5" tho and would gladly get it, if its right for me :D

Cant wait for the :apple: event on the 9th

This. Everyone needs to just take a deep breath and relax. Apple isn't going to gouge us while prices are coming down. They will stay at the same price points with the same storage options.

The only difference I think we might see might come in the lowering of storage increase prices from $100 to $50. I think we see this happening before we see Apple increasing the base from 16 to 32.

Perhaps they start at $249/$699 for 16 GB and move up $50 from there. Then just tack on an extra $100 to each price for the 5.5":

  • 4.7" 16gb - $699/$249
  • 4.7" 32gb - $749/$299
  • 4.7" 64gb - $799/$349

Then $100 more for slightly bumped specs & larger screen:

  • 5.5" 16gb - $799/$349
  • 5.5" 32gb - $849/$399
  • 5.5" 64gb - $899/$449

Somewhere in that neighborhood is where we'll end up. I HIGHLY doubt any higher than that.
