I'm considering upgrading my single GTX 680 to a dual GTX Titan in my 2010 Mac Pro. But first I'd like to try out a single GTX Titan. Since I expect to fully utilize this card's abilities with my work in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Speedgrade I want to get an external power supply for it. However, I'm having trouble determining which PSU to get.

Many people in these forums recommend either the FSP x5 450W Group Booster or the ePOWER EP-450-CD which are both out of stock everywhere I've looked. So it looks like I'll need to get a regular PSU and run the cables into my MP somehow. But since I'm planning on going with a dual Titan GPU then should I get more than 450W? And is there a method to connect the PSU to my MP so that it turns on automatically when I power up my MP?

Any suggestions or experience with this situation would be greatly appreciated.
