Im waiting for my new imac G5 20" to turn up, and want to add another 1gb stick (apple were £65 for 512mb more, but i see you can get 1gb sticks for about £45).

Is it pc4200 ddr2, or pc5300 etc? Does it matter if the ram is different manufacturers, i dont know how fussy mac are having never owned one before.

Macs are very picky about RAM. Crucial is preferred by most people here, they have a memory configurator at their site.

Do a forum search; your thread is the 21,762nd RAM thread.

You can never have too many RAM threads.
