Ok everyone knows the new iphone of course is going to have 3G network and GPS but like what else is it going to have?? and is it really going to be worth it? and do you think they can jail break it?

We don't know!!! Everyone at this point except for AT&T and Apple knows only the rumors that websites bring them. Nothing is official except that it'll have 3G, GPS isn't certain yet.

I think it will be worth it, but we'll just have to wait and see to be honest.

It will include the following:

-Four cameras (back, front, and both sides) for video conferencing with you and anybody around you.
-A larger, yet smaller screen. Johnny Ive's been working weekends to make that happen.
-16, 32, and 64 gig models, all subsidized by AT&T down to $50, $100, and $200.
-A shiny, rounded plastic back, or the old aluminum back. Your choice.
-Real GPS, with a compass and sextant. For all your guidance needs, land, sea, or air.
-Tired of poking at the screen? iPhone 2 reads your mind with the optional iChip™ Brain Implant.
-Runs every Mac OS (X and Classic) and Windows app ever written, thanks to its triple ARM-PPC-x86 CPU and Win32/CocoaTouch/Cocoa/Carbon/Classic APIs.
-Time Machine; it's coming to the iPhone now, and it's gonna be way more awesome. Because it's now an actual time machine. Take that, RIM.

THAT is what will be in the new iPhone. :)

hopefully a firmware that doesnt suck, the exsisting iphone hardware is already blazing fast yet the phone sucks because of apples operating system crippling half the HW.

Come on, that's ridiculous. You missed the most important new feature... the new iPhone 2.0 will also allow you to Time Travel. The only caveat being that you can only Time Travel back in time to the point when you first purchased the new iPhone (to relive the joy of it all) and it will reduce your battery life down to 1 minute.

Crap, totally looked over that.

Thank you. Now your list feels complete. So, when is iPhone 3.0 coming out with the food replicator...

Anyone? Bueller?

I say 3G and GPS for sure.

Apple is well know for putting subtle hints in their event invitations. The WWDC invitation "A landmark event. In more ways than one."

what's the big deal about 3G when the iphone already has wifi? its not going to make it any different, there is even an on&off switch for the 3g, so the new iphone will be somewhat the same as the current phone expect it will have an on button to turn on 3G, with so many hot spots available, one can just turn on wifi which is faster.

Some people seem to feel the need to have OMFGFAST internets everywhere they go. I don't, so I'm happy with my old 4 gigger, but hey, to each their own, right?

I'm actually looking forward more to the release of the APP store and the release of 2.0 software update, when is the release anyway?

Since it's Apple, nobody has any idea of the exact date. Ballpark that they gave on March 6 was "Late June" but who really knows? Anywhere between now and MWSF 2008 is game imo :p

Hi Guys

This is from my local ISP website

iPhone frenzy continues

It is apparently time for the usually reserved Swiss to get in the action with a little stirring of the iPhone cauldron.

A deal has been confirmed with phone operator Swisscom to carry the iPhone in the land of the neutral, but newspaper Le Matin is claiming (with little apparent proof as far as we can see) that the model will be 3G and will rock out with GPS, mobile TV and video conferencing on its June launch. Speculative.

Further rumours have leaked that the 16GB 3G model will be available in silver while the 32Gb model will be served up in white, silver and the expected black.

What do you think? Sick of the rumours yet or more intrigued than ever? Do you think Le Matin's claims are accurate or should they wake up and smell what they're shovelling?

Sorry if this is already mentioned!!!!!

All I want is video chat and 3G. That's it! Anything else would be icing on the cake. Im in a long distance relationship and to have video chat would be heaven. The SDK will solve alot of other cons with the iphone in months to come.

Dear psychic sir or madam,

Please cease and desist these spot on iPhone predictions. It's really killing our mystique. Also, it's just really mean to not let us make the announcement. Please stop being such a meany face.

Fo' sho',
Apple Legal

P.S. Sorry for all the legal mumbojumbo in that letter. We're just smarter than you are.

They're on to me!

/me flees to Bolivia and prays that Apple brings the iPhone there under some carrier soon enough
