Hi Forum,

question is in the title, I can't find it anywhere online. It's a 15-inch Macbook Pro from 2010.

Thanks so much!

It seems Apple removed that from the Display preference pane, but I imagine it's the industry standard 60Hz.

Anyway to check this with a terminal command or something? I've got an app running that never tops 50 FPS, which makes me wonder if the screen refreshes at 50Hz.

I found this online here.

No LCD screen needs a refresh rate. The screen is drawn/redrawn all at the same time. That setting is basically a hold over from the older CRT monitors that had color guns that needed to redraw the screen pixel by pixel.

Making any changes to the vertical or horizontal refresh rate will have no effect on the monitor you are using. So just forget about it.

Since your screen is LCD, that's probably why there is no option to see or change the refresh rate.
