What resolution are you running at?

- Best for Retina (2560x1440)?
- Scaled to 2880x1620?
- Scaled to 3200x1800?
- Native (5120x2880)?

Something else?

Why did you pick what you did?

2560x1440. For anything above that text gets too small for me. I've been using a 26-inch NEC 1920x1200 monitor for a long time, so initially the 2560x1440 seemed too small, but text is so sharp that I've adapted to it.

3200 day to day, native for games and some apps that I'm used to and want to run full-screen such as Logic Pro, FCPX, Pixelmator etc.

Nice. Native is crazy!... I tried it briefly just now at the local Apple Store and it made me cross-eyed.

I was most comfortable at 3200.

2880x1620 - it was a compromise as I wanted more real estate than the 2560x1440 setting without having to sacrifice full-plus window sizes.

I originally purchased a 2013 27" iMac 2 days before the confirmation of the October announcement. The price differential wasn't large enough to prevent me from switching. So glad I did...the ability to scale the screen to a higher resolution and have it be crystal clear makes me actually want to work.

hi please let me know how i can set it to native resolution.

Try option-clicking on which resolution you want when you're in the display preferences

----------

I run at 2880x1620, initially thought I'd prefer the 1800x3200 for the extra space (my eyesight is fairly good) but I really like having the text that bit bigger. Makes it super easy to read

I get all apart from 5120x 2880 in the scales options.

I am trying to find the 5120 ( native ) one.

Please help
