Hi, anyone know what hidpi resolutions we can use for this monitor?

I am wanting 1920x 1200. I don't want the scaling to produce noticeable blurriness. My dell 4K at 2560x1440 was a blurry mess at this resolution. It could only exactly halve the pixels to maintain clarity but then the text was too big and kind of comically large to me.

it maxes out at 2560x1440. It's pretty tiny at that res, but it's not blurry at all. The options are:

1280x720
1680x945
2048x1152 (native)
2304x1296 (where I run it)
2560x1440

2304x1296 (where I run it)

If I understood correctly your 2304x1296 resolution is rendered internally at 2x (a massive 4608x2592 pixels) and then scaled down to the native 4096x2304.

May I ask what machine you use your monitor with, what’s your GPU? I’m still waiting for my monitor and I fear that my base 13" MBP (2.0 GHz i5, Iris 540) might not be powerful enough.

I can't answer how it's doing it. I've run all res's on 2 machines and they both run at 60 Hz no problems. 2016 MBP 13" non-touch and 2016 MBr 12" m5.

I’m relatively sure it works they way I described, and it’s the reason why non-native resolutions are displayed pretty sharp.

But wow, I must have underestimated the performance of current generation Intel GPUs, if you can even run the 2560x1440 (rendered as 5120x2880) from your 2016 MB (1,2 GHz m5, HD 515) without any problems!

Thanks this is exactly the information I was looking for. I wanted something close to retina 2560x1440 and it looks like the 4K monitor is good enough. I would have to get new hardware to run the 5K although the dream is here sooner than I thought. I might just get the 5K. But then I would need a new laptop:)
