I own a macbook pro 15-inch 2010 core 2 duo 2.6ghz & 8gigs of RAM.

Running Visual Studio under coherence mode with Parallel Desktop windows 8 is sluggish, especially when intellisens is looking for something. It's okay for a bit of work, no more.

Let say I buy more recent macbook pro 2012 with an I7 quad CPU+16 gigs of RAM, will VS become perfectly usable?

many thanks

I use VS under Parallels with no sluggishness. 16GB of memory and a SSD really helps. I will never buy another computer without a SSD. It makes a huge difference in performance.
