Look like this topic is rarely discussed but actually most of us use it and it can be extremely helpful or danger (if the stick let you drop the phone from that height!). I use the Mi Selfie Stick which is only like $8 US dollars but it is pretty good.

I think you need you need to estimate the areas of usage that and how often will you be using that in order to understand how much can you spend on it.

I don't have nothing against selfies sticks. But I certainly don't use my iPhone to operate what my go pro does in a different level :D

iOttie MiGo; I've been using it for about 2 months now and it's been awesome. I'll have a review out shortly regarding it.

What is the selling point of this?

Bluetooth

Reliable (I have a few iOttie products and can vouch for this)

Easy to carry

I have personally used a few selfie sticks (one from Bestbuy on my March trip to DC) and that thing when fully extended was bending like crazy when fully extended. The MiGo seems to hold strong without much noticeable vending.

You're not embarrassed to ask this question? I have nothing but contempt for those damn things.....

So you think holding your phone to selfie is the best or what?

I have one but only use it for filming videos as its steadier than holding the phone and can get better height when filming, no idea which brand it is as have thrown the packaging away.

I don't take "selfies" and neither should any respectable human being.

I disagree to an extent. Yes some people get outta control with them but what I believe the greatest used are for are vacation photos (which this helped out a lot for when I took my try to DC) as well as those moments where someone isn't around to take a photo for you. It has it's advantages.

While I don't do it, I'm not really sure what sort of judgements can or should be made about someone that wishes to be in the photo while being somewhere or doing something especially with other people.

I'm not a fan of selfies to be honest, nor those silly big sticks.

On occasion when I do need to take a photo I need to be in, I either use this big three foot camera extender, I forget the technical term, that's attached to my torso.

Kidding aside, I prefer to use a pocket tripod or my gorillapod and I use my Apple Watch as a remote shutter. If you don't have an Apple Watch you can pick up a Bluetooth shutter ten a penny on eBay.

I use an Anker selfie stick. Got it from Amazon during a Special Deal event; quite affordable. Connectivity is reliable too. It is quite durable and easy to store since you can flip/fold the phone holder.
