I'm putting some settings short cuts on my iphone4s and wondering what you guys find most useful?

All of them are useful but I don't want 20 icons on me screen. So trying to figure out what would be the best 4 to have.

Monitor for a day/couple of days which settings menus do you use a lot. Put those as shortcuts. Done.

Anything else?

Again, what icons would you find most useful?

This question is like asking someone random "What 4 albums should I put on my iPod", preferences will vary.

Give me a list of 20 albums and I will tell you what I would listen to. Its a simple question which is simple to answer! If you don't want to contribute to the thread then move along. I ain't in the mood for imuppets tonight

Why are settings shortcuts that other people find most useful important to you? Aren't the shortcuts you use most more important. Is it that hard to figure out on your own what you use the most?!

Personally I use the following 4 settings shortcuts:
- Brightness
- Wifi
- Airplane mode
- Usage

Now that I have these on my home screen I don't even use the settings app anymore...

Wait, maybe I missed something..but how do you add setting short cuts (i.e. wifi, airplane mode, etc) to the home screen?

Any help you can give would be appreciated!

Visit this site from your iOS device (its very self explanatory)

Think you answered yourself in a previous thread.

clicky

How do you figure that! I'm not asking a question like I want a shortcut on my phone for wi-fi should I use a wi-fi shortcut

As everyday passes it amazes me that some of you imuppets can even find your way out the front door in the morning:confused:

I don't have an iPhone yet (maybe going today!) but what does that site do? Is it just instructions or one of those jailbreak deals.

I don't think I'll be jailbreaking my iPhone. Just wondering if I should go through the trouble of looking for this thread once I get it.

No, not anything about jailbreak, all it shows you is different setting icons that you can install so that you have the shortcut right onto the springboard, for example bluetooth, wifi, airplane mode, brightness, EQ, siri, notifications etc etc.. Instead of going into settings and search for the function you go into that setting via that shortcut directly instead.

Quite honestly I'm a little surprised that you can find YOUR way out the door, since you seem to want/need others to tell you what shortcuts YOU need on YOUR phone.

I know what shortcuts I have and use, but they're not going to be the same ones you do.

So yes, you've gotten silly answers to a silly question.

Move on.

I give you 1/10 for trolling.

Try harder next time.

Not to be paranoid or anything but is there any shot this has any virus potential or will screw with the phone in anyway?

Sorry dude, but it is a hard question to answer. Now I don't have an iPhone yet, but on my phone, I'd like a shortcut to wi-fi, battery, and phone brightness (because the auto stuff is too bright at night).

If you use bluetooth and want to easily turn it off to save battery, get a shortcut for that.
If you don't use your phone at night, don't get a brightness shortcut.
If you only use wi-fi at home and want to easily turn it off to save battery, get a shortcut for that.
If you hardly use GPS and want to easily turn it off to save battery, get a shortcut for that.

It just depends on what your needs are.
