Hi guys, I'm unsure which MBP to buy. 15" top end MBP or entry level MBPr?
I'm a little worried about the side of the 256mb flash but I like everything else about the machine. What are your thoughts? I'll also be upgrading the RAM of the retina to 16gb if I buy it. Cheers

What sorts of things will you be using it for?

One thing is that with both Thunderbolt and USB 3 it's pretty easy to add fast external storage.

Mainly Final cut, photoshop/aperture and I'm thinking about it for gaming too.

I think it depends on personal needs.
The older MBP has a dvd drive and the RMBP doesn't.
The older MBP has an anti glare (top end) and the RMBP has retina.
And so on, and so on.
I think you should keep in mind that you'll be stuck with the 256GB of hd space since there is no dvd bay you can pull out to put in an opti bay.

Just my 2 cents, from a new Apple fan.
