What should I do before jailbreak?

I'm about to jailbreak my iPad but what should I do before I jailbreak? Do I need to sync it with iTunes first? I don't have any apps in my iPad yet because I just got it today but do I still need to sync?

Maybe go to the bathroom.

I just got one. Set up with al my stuff. About 3 hours later I used jailbreakme. No sync before hand. Same thing with my iPod touch. You should be fine.
