I want to sell my current iPhone to fund my purchase of the iPhone 2.0 next week (like most of us). I'll take out my SIM card, and I'll probably jailbreak and unlock it (simply because people on EBay tend to pay more for that, even though its such a simple process). I'll also delete everything on it, favorites, songs, contacts etc.

Anything else you guys can think of that I should do before I sell it?

Also, I'm trying to do this quickly, since who knows for how cheap you'll be able to get an iPhone 2.0 on Monday, so hopefully I'll get my EBay ad up by tonight.

Yes , you should try to sell it the fastest , Monday the Iphone prices on ebay will drop considerably .

Awesome, thanks a lot. So how did you manage to get Apple to give you a brand new phone?

I took it in and told the Genius that I was having problems with voice echo. (I really was having this problem... turns out it was the SIM card, but I didn't find out until after he replaced the phone). He told me there was nothing wrong with the phone in his diagnostics program, but said there could be a faulty speaker. He reached under the table, grabbed a new unit, popped my SIM into it, and off I went.

24 hour listing and take out the SIM. That's all I did

I think he was trying to fool those who aren't up to date on :apple: rumors. Would you buy it if you knew that there is a 99.99% chance that a new version will be announced on Monday? No offense ment if I'm wrong in this assumption! :D

Just sold my 2 month old 8GB iPhone for £250 ($495) on eBay, unlocked and jailbroken - it sold with BiN after being listed for few hours, paypal payment received and completed, cash transferring to my bank account.

roll on WWDC!

so when you sell it on ebay and take your sim out, will your sim put your information on a new iphone later or will you need to put everything on the new iphone before you sell your old one?
