Hello,

I'm looking to buy a display to hook up to my MacBook when I'm at home. I'm a Biology student in University, and lately I've been having to do a lot of journal readings online. 13" is just not cutting it, and I'm looking for something 20"+. Is contrast ratio important? I know I'm not worried about response time, as I'm not a huge gamer. Is there anything any one would recommend? Thanks for the help!!!

Mike

If you get a chance to see it in person, just make sure it has a decent viewing angle. Other than that...if you're not doing anything that requires a ton of accuracy with colors or gaming like you said, then that should be fine. The best is to see it in person if all you're using it for is the basic stuff and that way you won't have to worry about the numbers:)

will the cheapest monitor play movies at decent quality? I'm obviously not talking 1080p or anything, but I don't want the picture to be grainy.
