My iPhone 3G is jailbroken and I have SBSettings which tells me my available memory. Most of the time it is as at 18mb to 26mb, yet when my phone isnt JB I dont know what the free memory is. Does anyone know what it should be, and if mine is low or not?

Thanks.

WHOA!!! 18 to 26Mb?? It should be over 80Mb all the time unless you are viewing large PDFs or watching video or anything else memory intensive.

I have FreeMemory installed through the regular app store for like $0.99, mine usually averages around 30-40 free, but I have a bunch of theming options selected, etc. Sometimes it gets down to 5 or so, at which point I clear it out and it jumps back up to 40

Mine's at 22. I do have themes, and stuff though.

Crazy themes.

If I turn every theme off, I get 41-45mb free.
Yes I am talking about RAM, yes sorry about the ambiguity. I only have clippy, sbsettings, videorecorder3g, and a ringtone.

I feel that my free memory is a little low, anyone have any idea why? Or what I can do to fix this to get my phone to run smoother. (my safari is lagging right now as I type)

80mb? yeah right

not sure what app you are using that gives you that completely FALSE number..

between 40-55 free is the most you're gonna get when using a memory freeing app.

After respringing it went to 40mb, then I opened safari and it's back at 25mb. Is this avg/normal? Thanks
