I just want to survey what songs have been purchased at the itunes Apple Music Store by other Mac Rumors members:

I have purchased 7 songs so far:

2. Blood On Blood (New Jersey) - Bon Jovi
3. Where the Streets Have No Name (Discography) - Pet Shop Boys
4. Drops of Jupiter (Drops of Jupiter) -Train
5. It's Been Awhile (Break The Cycle) -Staind
6. Stick To Your Guns (New Jersey) -Bon Jovi

Re: What songs have you purchased at the iTunes music store?

I've only got one song off it

A couple of Louis Armstrong CDs, Ella Fitzgerald, Coldplay and (*in shame*) Elton John. Plus some individual tracks by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse and Johnny Cash.

after tax they end up being $1.05 per song not 99 cents!! those bastards!!! :p oh well, still an awesome service. I love it so far!
You know what's wierd? I was complaining about tax in another thread. Then my next 3 purchases were tax free.

I guess Apple is reading this forum and they will listen to your complaints. So your best bet is to complain about the prices of the 12" AlBook. Then all you have to do is wait for that 12" AlBook to show up on your doorstep.

:D

Me, too. It's in the Coors commercial, but isn't on my Tom Jones' Golden Hits CD. What's up with that?

Also...

Pocket Calcualtor - Kraftwerk
The Sun Always Shines on TV - A-Ha
Kiss - Prince
Pop Life - Prince
Raspberry Beret - Prince
Watcher of the Skies (radio edit) - Genesis
I know what I Like (in Your Wardrobe) (Live) - Genesis
The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald - Gordon Lightfoot
The entire first alum from Weezer (just wanted to buy an album)

A couple others that I can't remember. The problem is, during the '90s I bought all the music I wanted on CD, even for one song. Otherwise, id've downloaded much more by now.

David Gray: White Ladder and A new Day at Midnight

Jack Johnson: Brushfire Fairytales and On & On

They were impulse purchases. I gonna have to somehow block the Music Store so I can only go visit it once a month! It's too easy!

I will, however, no longer use Kazaa or anything similar. I will simply click & buy what I want form now on.

Congratulations Apple & Steve Jobs!!:D

About the Tax:

They will tell you how much it will be on the purchased items, but when you actually get billed, you will not be charged any tax. At least that's what happened to me. I was complainign to myself about the 4 cents, but when the CC bill came - just 99¢ per song.

I bought one song, "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix. I had to buy one, and this seemed like a good one to buy.

Then I bought another "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, for a video project, but ended up not using it.

When Apple sent me my invoice via email they added the tax, and my bank statement confirms that they did indeed charge tax. I think that tax on the internet is a bunch of crap. Will it stop me from buying music on the Apple Store? maybe not as much. paying 99 cents for a song makes it easier to buy buy buy than $1.05. breaking the dollar barrier just makes it a little less inviting.

Any day or TWOOOOOOOOO!

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I wanted to post all that I'd bought, but in for a penny, in for a pound!

Coldplay

I just bought the latest Coldplay album from the store. I was so excited to use the service. I really think Apple has hit on something with this. Happy downloading!
