Does anybody know what data a micro sim contains? The only reason I ask is because I want to know if there's any data on my iPhone 4 micro sim that I need to transfer to the nano sim before I put that into the 5.

You do not need your iPhone 4 sim once your iPhone 5 comes. The 5 comes with a nano sim which is activated (ie. connected to your phone #) via iTunes.
