Sorry if this one has already been asked here, but does anyone know what brand SSD ships in the MBP i7? If it's a decent brand then the 256 SSD from Apple might make sense. It's not far off the price of the OWC 240 gb model. And does installing an after market drive void your warranty?
If the OWC (or an Intel or...) makes better sense how big a deal is it to crack the new uMBP 17" model. On my old 2.16 takes it a bit of work to get at the drive. At iFixit.com, there's a tear down of a MacBook Unibody Model A1342 Mid 2010, and it looks like it's just a matter of a few screws on the bottom, and there's the drive exposed. Is that right for the 17"?
