Hi;

I upgraded the RAM to 8GB and installed OSX 10 on my Late 2008 Unibody Macbook Pro and was now considering an SSD Drive.

Questions:

1. What make of Drive should I get?
2. What Size Drive should I get, I will be installing Mavericks but probably want Boot Camp with Windows 7 and or Some Form of Unix Operating System (TBC). I backup to a 2TB NAS Drive so storage is not a problem?
3. I presume a 2.5 SSD Drive is a straight swap?

Thanks

This is where I started my research: TheWireCutter

I went with a 512GB after going from a stock 160 to a hybrid 500.

Yeah, straight swap. Very simple to do. Backup with Time Machine, swap drives, format drive, restore from Time Machine.

Don't spend too much time going over speed specs, etc. The 2008 only has 3Gbps SATA so any current drive will more than saturate it.
