Hi,
I am writing a movie/video editor app for iOS. I was wondering what you guys think is missing and/or sucks about the current movie editors on app store? Something I could improve on with my app.
Thanks

I haven't used every video app on the app store, but what I'd really like to see is something that can do green screening and maybe some compositing and/or rotoscoping.

I guess what I'd most like to see is an After Effects Lite kind of app.

For me, the best is iSupr8. For a price of less than 2.00, I am uber-satisfied! It has 8 mm video filter, interface is a bit complicated but will give you a “pro-ish” feel and best of all it’s got lots of film settings.

My biggest issue is how slow the workflow is in iMovie. My primary need for it is to merge multiple short clips but simply choosing and trimming clips is very laggy and cumbersome. Its a shame because its a very good app but it really needs some attention from Apple.

I agree! Same sentiment I get from people whom I know who's getting an elevated blood pressure with the iMovie. Grrrr....

Well, you're right, fingers crossed that Apple will address this somewhat "universal" concern.
