What the difference between "Call Period" and "Lifetime"?

What the difference between "Call Period" and "Lifetime" under the Cellular Settings?

Can anyone explain this?

And will resetting the phone to its Factory settings reset the Call Lifetime to zero? I don't have data at all from a backup or restore carried over from iTunes or from any other iPhones.

Current period can be reset. Lifetime period I total since last restore.
