Ever since iOS 16 dropped, something funky's been happening with location in the Home app.
I've 2 properties that I have access to.
When in one, I ask Siri to turn the lights off (has happened both on homepod & on iPhone)
On more than one occasion it's turned the lights off in the property I'm not in / has said lights are on/off.
The homes are 20 miles apart.
Is this 'feature' happening to anyone else that HomeKit is acting up?
This maybe happened in the early days of iOS15/14 but was swiftly rectified.
& don't start me on the camera recording options, not recognising that the stream/record options have been set.

I've stopped trying to figure out Siri/Homekit a loooong time ago. Sometimes an odd bug will get fixed and I'll think maybe Apple started paying attention to it, only to discover a new set of bugs that weren't there before. I've had to remove the Homepod Mini from my 2 year old's room because I couldn't be sure Siri wouldn't send some music or a podcast into her room randomly while she's asleep. She's a pretty good sleeper, but I don't blame her for being pissed because Siri decided to play some AC/DC in her room when Dad just asked Siri to turn on the AppleTV in the living room. :p

Yeah, I've got a feeling that they're mucking about with the internals for matter/thread that's about to drop.
It's just uber frustrating, thankfully I don't have any critical devices such as door locks etc. could be much, much worse.
But I hear ya' once the trust is gone, it'd take a long, long time to regain it.

I had to redo all my automations after the upgrade since none of them would run anymore (test was fine). Apple needs to get their stuff together. I don’t want to back to data shared with Google or Amin and paying monthly fees.

Yeah, the automations were ok (as much as they can be) it's just the location services that are borked. I still have grievance that I bought Homekit designed and compatible cameras & still had to use the manufacturers app to pull firmware updates - I thought the whole reason behind homekit was that this wasn't necessary, apple protected your privacy by routing all through the home app, evidently not.
