What the heck are those springy shoes?

I believe they are called Moon Boots. My sister got some for her birthday. I have no idea where they got them. Maybe the discovery store in the mall or someplace else.

Oh, nope. Then they aren't the things that I was thinking. I tried looking in Discoverys online store and I found nothing that seemed similar to what you are describing. Maybe its only a prototype or a prop or something.

Nope, I've seen them for sale before, and seen them on TV (discovery channel I think) on a show. Here are some screens:

I've seen something almost identical worn as a prosthetic limb by a guy working as a tow truck driver. He'd lost both legs when a car plowed into his rig while clearing up an earlier accident.
