Will it be dead on midnight US time on the 12th?

sucks the day it is out is my first day shift back so will be up at 5am and won't be back till gone 18.30 ugh...going to have to wait all day for download it? ugh..oh well what is one more day?

This is a side question but isn't iOS 5 going to have a new background from that water drop one? It's so last year I know you can change it but it would be nice to see a new one

He's referring to IOS5 GM. I installed it the other day on my devices also...and in all probability this is and will be exactly the same as the final release on Oct. 12th.

If you'd like to install IOS5 GM you'll also need to install iTunes 10.5 Beta...Beta 9 is the latest. Google to find DL sites or check out my POST #12 at...

Sounds about right...a lot of OS updates in the past have been made available at 10am pst. Not all...but many...
