When does the site usually update on release day? Midnight, 3:00am, etc… Anyone know?
I could be wrong, but I thought it varied, but not sure by how much. I ordered APM day-of for pick-up at around 5:00am local.
I don’t think launch day will refresh. But every day after, inventory pickups will probably refresh around 3am -5am each day for the first week or so. Then as they start meeting demand and more regular shippings, periodically thru out the day
I kinda wondered about that too. A couple years ago, the Apple Store had a ton of stock for actual walk-ins, yet the website listed everything as “unavailable for store pickup” during the whole launch weekend.
I'm sure that it will refresh. The app did say check back on 9/24/2021. It wouldn't say it if it wasn't going to. I know that in previous years, you had to wait till the very next day.
I don’t think they will do any walk-ins. With Covid and all… the last time I went to the Apple store a few weeks ago.. they forced me to have a pick up time. Wasn’t accepting walkins for anything
When I went to mine for a return a couple months ago, they had plenty of people doing walk-in sales & service. They just made you wait in line outside (it is in a mall) until a worker was available to assist.
I must have pre-ordered one of the very last few available for in-store pick up tomorrow at my local Apple store here in Plymouth, UK.
But.....................an hour or so later a huge bill arrived on the doorstep from my local garage for car repairs - so I cancelled my pre-order
. Priorities, right!
As it happened - after I worked out my finances for the month, I could still afford both. So, I went back onto the Apple pre-order site to re-order a nice new shiney 13pro in graphite.............................ALL GONE! Damn I was mad as hell. Now I have to wait a week or two before any more become available.😣
But.....................an hour or so later a huge bill arrived on the doorstep from my local garage for car repairs - so I cancelled my pre-order

I could do but that's probably a long shot. I'll certainly give it a go anyway. Never mind. Iv'e resigned to the fact I will just have to wait a couple of weeks to return to IOS after years with Andriod.
They aren't gone, they just lock out in-store pickup on launch day option the day or two before launch. I'm guessing it's to make sure they can get all the orders processed in time for Friday morning. Happens every year with all newly launched products. So it could well be worth calling them up early tomorrow morning to see if the have any left after honouring launch day orders! Thanks. I will definately give that a go.👍
The website has always been updated by 8AM EST time on my time zone. I believe that would be midnight CA time.
Good luck with that. It seems to be impossible to call stores directly anymore. Apple, Verizon, and now even Best Buy… every single one of those directed me to a call center this week, when I just want to ask a simple question to someone physically located in the actual local store. It is absolutely infuriating.

Went on-line bang on at 06:00 on the Plymouth Apple store's site, and there it was! 13 pro in graphite, available to order and pick up today! Who'd have thought?
