What time does Lion come out, and what will I need to do to download it (legally)?

Does Lion come out tonight at 12:00 EST? Or does it come out at an undisclosed time tomorrow? Does anyone really know? I will be staying up most of the night so I can download Lion the second it goes live on Apple's servers.

This is a joke I hope. haha. Lion will not be released late at night most likely. And there is no confirmation on what the exact date Lion will even be released on.

This post from cultofmac suggest it will be available in the UK at 1AM. it is now about 5am in the UK and I haven't heard any news.

I'm thinking it will be available tomorrow around 10am PST based from the start time of most apple events. Who knows it might not even be released tomorrow.

Serious answer? Everything we've heard so far is just rumours - nothing is certain until Apple posts it. So, we'll know when we know.

Well thats what the rumors say, not what Apple says... Rumors have a way of not always been true. Although I do think Lion is going to be released on the 14th I can't really say or guess when.
