You're correct. And as for me, I have to wait until 11:15 a.m. to get out of class. GRR!
I'm hopeful I'll be able to order from Apple.com immediately. At least, pre-order for delivery no later than next week.

Annoyingly it's 6pm for us here in the uk, and I will be at work between 5pm and 10pm, Hopefully I will be able to play it on my iPhone...
I expect we will get pre-orders today or tomorrow with delivery next week. Any other timetable would drag out too long and hurt iPad sales.

It's 23:41 PM here in Australia, the event starts at 1:00 AM and I'm staying up til' it's over.

That's what I am hoping for. I have the store.apple.com site up just waiting for them to take it down for the media event and then bring it back online with the new iPad so I can buy.
