What time will it go on sale?

My guess is 6pm, like the last iPhone. If I remember correctly they closed the Apple store at 4pm and reopened at 6pm to sell the iPhone
They haven't posted a time yet. Assume if they don't, that it will be when your store opens (10am?).
Now that I think about it, a 6PM launch would be kind of dumb. My new guess is that it's gonna be available at open.
Unless Apple and ATT have an army of employees waiting to activate all of the iPhones purchased on the 11th, there is no way a 6pm launch could be possible.
With this "activate on site" program implemented, I can't see them waiting till 6pm like the G1 IPhone, there would be complete chaos..
I'd guess it would be on sale as soon as the store opens..
There is some logic for the Friday 6PM (local time) launch. Friday is the SLOWEST news day of the week and by doing it at 6:00, Apple can be sure the 6:00 news will be there covering the launch... and all that FREE advertising...
Support Logisitcs - security, parking, staffing, crowd control, etc. Doesn't necessarily mean the same time of day.

I just talked to an AT&T rep and he said it will go on sale "as soon as the store opens" - and an online store will follow!

Your going to quote "Thomas" at the indian call center in Bangalore when they tell you 6 PM?
i personally think 6:02 like last year in the uk simply wont work as people will be there all night

AT&T doesn't outsource. Their call centers are in the US and paid/trained directly by AT&T. On the off chance you get someone that might sound Indian that doesn't mean that they are in India. I've never gotten an Indian cust service rep and I'm an RSC at a AT&T store so I call Cust service alot... lol
