It's usually midnight PST I believe. I'd like to know about ordering with signing up for the Apple Upgrade program as well...maybe someone who did it last year can chime in.

It's usually a pick up option, you reserve an iPhone with your name. And once you go to in the store, you could choose how you wish to purchase it. That's how it was done last year at least.
