I already have the Mophie wireless charger that after the 11.2 update it should allow my iPhone X to start charging faster (7.5W). However, i would like to buy a "regular" charger for when I´m traveling, since the 5W sometimes feels painfully slow.

What is the best combination? I know that past certain wattage the difference in charging speed is minimal so I´m not sure what I should buy.

Thank you.

The $19 Apple 12W charger is noticeably faster (label on mine says the output is 2.4A). If you want the fastest option (the fast-charging feature), then you'll have to spend $74 (for the items BasicGreatGuy listed).

I´m looking at this one as an alternative: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-PowerPort-PowerIQ-Foldable/dp/B072HHW3GK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1512229602&sr=8-3&keywords=iphone+x+fast+charger&refinements=p_72:2661618011&th=1

Is this kind of charger MFi? The difference in price is quite substantial, but Anker is a recognized brand.
I have one of these for traveling and it works quite well, never had a worry with it. As BasicGreatGuy stated, the Apple 12W charger is the cheapest option from Apple to get a significant increase in charging speed.

Does anyone know if there's a way to tell if it's fast charging vs "normal"? On the Samsung GS8+ I had, when put on the charger, it would say "fast wireless charging" on screen

No way to really know without a Kill-a-watt or a USB watt meter thing. I have several Anker chargers and use those all the time. Get the Anker one or the iPad 12w charger - no need to spend $75 for a few extra minutes faster.

Ick...I rarely let my phone drain below 50% and charge in small bursts as available. I'll never be able to tell. Oh well, at least there's the potential. All of my chargers are the fast variety type but I have small metal plate in the back of my case for mounting in the car which may impact charge speed which is really why I wanted the indication that fast charging is indeed in progress.

The Apple 12W is also smaller and lighter for travel.

Pretty silly Apple didn’t implement some sort of “fast wireless charging” indicator on 11.2. have a Mophie Wireless Charger, a Anker and a Seneo and would like to know what’s doing what. ‍♂️
