What to buy to edit NEF/RAW images in Aperture2 and HD Video from a JVC Camcorder

Hello

I'm interested in either getting a Macbook Pro or an iMac. We just can't swing a Mac Pro at this point. I'm seriously interested in editing photos with Aperture 2 and putting HD video on vs. non-HD video from our JVC Camcorder with a hard drive.

I'm wondering on what to get, specs wise, including RAM and speed of processor.....either the iMac 24 or a Macbook Pro.

RAM RAM RAM. If you don't have enough its going to be very aggravating. Its really depends what your budget is.

i would get the imac because its bigger and would be easier to see and thats a good point make sure u get LOTS of ram is a real important investment
