Hi Guys,

I wanted to know just like we have different methods and tools to identify the health condition of an Apple device like iPhone, iPad and mac the same ay if someone is buying an used AirPods Second Generation is there any checklist that one can go through and to be able to come to an conclusion that the device the AirPods are working in proper condition.

I have come across the AirPods second Generation from someone (Known Person) which I am planning to buy someone and hence wanted to know if there is any checklist that i can go through before I buy them from the person.

personally, i wouldnt buy 'used' airpods.

firstly, gross.

secondly, if the price is too good to be true, theyre fake.

worse, someone dupes you with a superclone and you pay a fair price for legitimate ones, only to later realize they arent real, maybe they dont even know.

if theyve been well used, the batteries/case arent gonna hold their charge for too much longer.

go to a real store and buy a real pair.
non-anc airpod 4 is $99 brand new right now.

who sells their airpods?

Sorry you had to deal with rude people who simply say to buy new. They don’t understand.

Make sure the microphones work.

Often the microphones stop working and that is why people want to sell them. Create a voice memo and play it back to see if the microphone still works.

Forgive me but here no one is offending anyone, and it is not being rude, and maybe there is a principle of reasoning behind it. What users say is certainly not law, but I believe that for hygienic reasons it is not the best to take used earphones.
Then it is obvious that everyone reasons for their own pockets, but if an opinion is asked, it is given freely.

I think the most important take away is just how legitimate the fakes/clones look. They are so pervasive that you cannot be sure what you are buying on the used market is worth the asking price.
