I purchased an iPad 2 32GB wifi at Walmart. Just happen to be walking by case when they put a few out they just received. Just lucky, "I Guess"? Saw the leakage problem, looked it up on the internet and realized I wasn't the only one. Returned it to Apple store on Sunday. They checked it out and wrote up a form for a replacement. They called me Tuesday to pick up the new one. It had the same problem, we discovered, after opening it. Rather than me bringing each defective unit back to the store, the manager gave me a gift card for a new unit. I think this is fantastic service, considering I bought the unit from Walmart. They said they would call me as soon as new retail units arrived at the store. My worry is that all the units in the delivery "pipeline" probably have the same issue or are about to develop it. I have read on this forum that the issue is being addressed and no more replacement units will be shipped until April 21st. Has anyone received a "good" replacement, and has Apple commented about the problem officially?
