"What to do?" deep trouble [sound problems]

Hey guys. Im new to this forum and i'm a mac noob (just switched to mac a month ago) anyway was clearing up some space to install Windows using Bootcamp and i guess i deleted some files i shouldn't have deleted.

I can't get sound out of any application (quicktime player, itunes, explorer...)nothing except for Ableton Live which is a music software...so i guess its not a matter of soundcard driver...rather than some files....

Any ideas guys? any files you think i could redownload to get the sound working again?

guess if you mac experts can't help me on this one..then no1 could!
should i better take my mac to a computer tech?

One option you have is to install Leopard again from scratch.
