what to do for 18th bday?

I have this sneaking feeling that if I don't get anything planned soon I'm just going to be idling on IRC on the night of my 18th birthday..anyone have any recommendations for what to do?

Some friends mentioned strip clubs and ..other things..but I don't know what to do, or..what I want to do.

As long as I don't drive myself home drunk (!!) or stoned it's fine with the parentals :eek: :D
 
first of all, congrats on turning 18 soon! it's one of the last "special" birthdays you'll have.

i have to ask...what do you enjoy? the strip club thing is fine if you're into it (i did that for my 18th ;) and had a blast) and there may be some clubs you can get into, but you won't be able to drink. also, buy a lottery ticket, just because you can. :p
 
Go to an In-N-Out and order an 18x18. They'll do it, you just have to pay for every additional patty.

lol! the only thing i'm looking forward to is voting. Other than that not much :(

I'm not sure. The strip club idea is perfectly fine, but I mean its an entire day and I don't know what to do and there's so many things and frankly I have no idea what other people do for their 18th cause everyone's so different :S
 
Be a rebel and not go to school. Then sign your own absent note:

I just went out to dinner with my friends when I turned 18. That's all I really wanted... just do whatever you'll enjoy and don't worry about what everyone else typically does.

One warning about the strip clubs... some of them require that you're 21 since they make most of their profits from alcohol sales. Just make sure to call ahead and make sure that you can get in. Honestly, a strip club was the last place I would have wanted to go when I turned 18... but I guess as the expression goes, to each their own.
 
Strip club it. It's a lot of fun. I would say get hammered but you're not of legal age :D

Enjoy your 18th Bday. Your 19th and 20th suck as you'll be wating to hit 21. After that all you have to look forward to is turning 25.... aka when your car insurance goes down.
 
I was going to ask if this was a trick question. :D i.e. you turn 18... you go to the pub. But then I saw you were in the states and thought to myself. What does turning 18 in the states really mean?

Here (UK) you can drink, watch porn, go to clubs etc (all at once if you go to a strip club). There is nothing you cant do.

Im America what does turning 18 mean and what are you allowed to do that makes turning 18 over there special? Obviously you cant drink.

We can buy lottery tickets at 16 here too.

And rent a car. And depending on the state, be in a gambling area of a casino.
Here's what I did on my 18th: get out of school, go to the nearby DMV to renew my license. Waste an hour then find out I need my SS card. Drive home, can't find it. Waste an hour until my mother comes home. Get SS card, drive to DMV that's further away and waste another hour. Buy a PowerBall ticket while I wait (didn't get carded :rolleyes: ). Get temporary lincense, drive to nearby high school for All State Band rehearsal.

I would take a quick flight to TJ. Mexico would be really fun. Canada is great but really cold right now. Mexico's age for everything is 18. I think you can still go without a passport until the end of the year!

Renting depends on the state - I actually looked this up because I most likely need a car to drive around for a week near the middle of this year upstate, and only in a few states (and this even depends on the company too) the minimum age is 18, otherwise it's usually 21-25. Usually the same surcharge fee you deal with for being under 25 and renting a car is the same though.

I still don't know what to do :confused: I'll keep the strip club idea in mind, and I wouldn't mind getting totally wasted with a few friends :D
 
I voulenteer at the Fire Dept where I live and for my 18th birthday, we hired stripers and dancers to come to the firehouse. It was alot of fun but we got in alot of trouble when some idiot had to run their mouth to the wrong person. We didnt get in that much trouble though. But it was most definitly memorable!

Drink (one of your friends with DD since it is your bday)
Go to a strip club
