what to do if my account doesnt have a password

hi everyone. i just bought a macbook and when i turned it on i tried to transfer files from my family's mac using migrate. i gave up and cancelled it cos it was taking ages but it still transfered the username and password. the problem is on the old computer we dont have a password and just press enter everytime it requires one. this doesnt work on the macbook so i cant log in. Help me please!!!!!

or is there any way i can just start the whole process again? please help- im really stressing that ive ****ed up my new computer already

Reinstall OS X using your grey restore discs and try the import again. This time don't cancel it in the middle. I don't know why you expected the transfer of what was probably a large amount of files to happen instantly.
