what to do in kansas city

i'm probably going to kansas city for a weekend trip sometime this fall, and i need some suggestions of what to do (i'll only have about one day to do all this, since sunday will be at the football game). can't be too expensive though. and if anyone knows of the best ribs in town, notify me here.

Darn, I just moved out here less than a month ago so I don't really know the area very well yet. I'm told that Union Station is pretty cool, though. I'll ask my girlfriend if she knows of anything else.
