What to do when buying 5s gold on craigslist

it is 5s gold(16gb) $800, factory unlocked, and sealed
I'm meeting the seller at the apple store,
he is bringing the proof of purchase as well
what do i need to check there?(like serial number, esn?)
im worried if it will get reported stolen after i purchase..
And if it is factory unlocked and sealed, does it mean it hasn't been activated yet?
 
make sure you get all of his contact info. as long as apple and the carrier can verify its not stolen and has a bad esn/imei, you should be good to go. what carrier is it from and what carrier will it be used on?
 
I'm not sure where you're located but I only had to wait 2 days for the phone I wanted to show up in a store. Reserved it online and picked it up later that day.

For $800 you could buy a 32GB model and have $50 left over to spend on accessories.
 
well im in canada so the shipping takes 1 month, and the MSRP is 800 here
 
If they do try and do something like that you can always direct them to the video footage taken inside the store at the time you were there. That should show he sold it, lay the money on the table and count it out dont just hand it to him in a stack...

I have iphone 5S gold unlocked. bought it yesterday from apple store (will give you receipt as well) but i am not liking it ( i mean color) if you want, i can sell it to you in 750.... PM me if you are interested. i am in NYC
