ordered my 17" i7 MBP with 128SSD last monday, told it should be in today, but the supplier just called and let me know it should be in my hands next wednesday...

what am i supposed to do until it arrives!

Enjoy life. I have the exact setup you have except in a 15" and man does this thing fly. I don't know what your coming from computer wise but the ssd and cpu make the computer just crazy fast.

lol i hate waiting for new gear

i end up not being able to sleep, just stare at the ceiling all night in anticipation

maybe try drinking some beer and sleeping :D

Do some volunteering? ;) I'm sure that's more important than waiting for some new gadget and society will be very pleased of a couple extra hands :)

haha thanks for the ideas.

i didn't realise there were actual youtube clips of people unboxing. I mean ive seen them appear but never watched one fully,t wow i never would have thought to record the unboxing and display it to the world.

i think ill just get on with it – use my sluggish 24" white imac.

are there any threads or discussions on some of the first things i should do in terms of install / format / calibrate?

cheers
Bill

there's probably 1 or 2 unboxing videos :)

unplug yourself for a little while. do as little as possible on the computer and internet because you'll probably be stuck to your new mbp when you get it. i love taking a few days off of my computers/electronics every so often - maybe once a month or so. also, go out to a bar and pick up a chick. that'll take your mind off the new comp!
