I have an iPhone 13 mini and a 15pro. The mini had been in a drawer until I went into the water and the 15pro didn’t work anymore.

I have AppleCare+ with all the add-ons so I’m not sure what my options are. Can I simply get a trade-in credit with apple and cancel the rest of my AppleCare+? Am I required to fix the 15pro then trade it in to apple?

If it’s the second one are there places better than apple to trade it in?

I’m really happy to be using my 13 mini, wish it had the better optics, I don’t care about the 120hz on it but I really do prefer the smaller form factors.

Your options are pay the $99 and get the phone fixed. Why pay for AppleCare if you’re not going to use it?

No, you’re not required to fix it, but you have to list whatever condition the phone is in. If it’s non working condition, your trade-in is likely not going to be much if anything.

You’re not going to get much for a broken iPhone. You can use one of those vending machines and you might get $25.

I think the mini is a good phone.

My suggestion is pay the $99, Apple will give you a refurbished replacement, then sell it for whatever since you don’t use it. You should get a fair price for a 15 Pro in excellent condition
