What to do with an extra PC laptop?

I have a SR 2.2 mbp as my main computer. I run everything from photoshop to word. I just got my hands on a dell inspiron 1300 and hadn't a clue what to do with it. I figure I would leave it in my locker at university for class and my mbp at home. That way I'm not lugging a $2500 laptop around everyday, and my back will thank me. But my question is, what to do when I'm not in class? I'll have it at home and instead of it just sitting there, I think I should put it to use!

What would you use it for? Its a pentium m 1.8ghz, 504mb ram - integrated video(i'll probably add a gig of ram), 60gig hd, and a dvd burner.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I should be getting an old Dell soon and I plan on learning Linux. I'm in the job market and a few jobs required Linux experience.

I would either:

1) Sell it on eBay if you need/want some extra cash.

2) Consider giving it to someone you know who can not afford a laptop. Or sell it to them for a very cheap price.


Either way is sure to brighten your, and perhaps someone else's, day.
