My wife bought a iPhone 3GS a month ago to use as her work phone - the company was going to pay the monthly service. The company is now cutting costs and is paying her early termination fee to cancel the service, which leaves her with a new iPhone 3GS and no service. She currently has a personal cell phone on ATT (not a smart phone, no data plan, and isn't interested in paying for a data plan out-of-pocket either). Ideally she'd like to use the iPhone to make/receive calls from her personal number and use it as an iPod touch can she just swap sim cards to do that? If not can she still use it as an iPod touch? Would Jailbreaking help? Can she sell it?

What are her options?

Thanks
