Hey everyone,

I preordered an iPhone 17 Pro Max and added Apple Care (monthly payment) during the preorder. Yesterday, I went into my Apple Store to get the iPhone but at home, I noticed that it's scratched out of the box (made a separate post about this as well).

So I'd like to return it to the store and get a new one. My question is: What will happen with my Apple Care subscription? It's already linked to the serial number of the scratched iPhone, right? I also already got a payment confirmation for the first month via email and it told me to finish setting up Apple Care on http://mysupport.apple.com/link but this page shows "no products that qualify". Maybe because I didn't sign into the new iPhone yet? I'm really confused.

Will Apple automatically cancel Apple Care and refund the first monthly payment when I do the iPhone return? Thanks in advance!
