What to do with old iPhone 3G?

Going to get the new phone I have reserved on Thursday ( knock on wood), but I'm leaving the country on Saturday. Can I take my old iPhone 3G with me and get a simcard and use it over in the UK? Kinda don't want to take my new phone with me as I have bad luck and just know I will either break it or lose it over there...

Jailbreak with redsn0w if your on 4.0, unlock with ultrasn0w and take it to the UK

put airfoil it on it, plug it into your entertainment center and play all your itunes music through it. if you control itunes through your new iphone4 through 'Remote' that would be even better.

unless you already have an airport express. this was my answer to an airport express.

Just bring the new iPhone 4 with you. You deserve to play with it specially in the airplane. Load some movies, you'll going to like the new HD LCD. Get some insurance just in case something happen to your new toy
