i have a 3gs 32gb with a ios 4.1(i know its been a year)...recently due to the low battery and apple logo nag..i had to install ios 4.1 and jailbroke it using limera1n and unlocked it using ultrasnow...stuck at no service due to firmware 5.14.02 as i used the stock ipsw file
(came to know about custom ipsw after all the unlocking and anyways cant use pwnage as im not on a mac).
ive searched about the fix and m not really sure about upgrading it to ipad firmware 6.15.xx.xx knowing the risks about not able to downgrade(does it really matter??)
so what are the best options available right now..my primary preference would be an unlocked iphone..after which comes the latest stable ios with minimum glitches.
ps:
1.iam in a real hurry so extremely sorry for not finding out much myself!!
2.i might get a shot at my brothers mac pro for a day before he leaves..just if mac gives a better solution
