Hi,

I currently have a 256 GB mid 2014 13" MBP. I mostly am happy with the machine, except for a Windows game called World of Warships, which I can play via the Wine app/process/emulator, whatever it is.

I was all ready to get a 512 GB 2 port 2020 MBP, for the speed increase and the storage, but this announcement of the ARM transition has me hesitating.

I'm guessing that these emulators will not work with the ARM Cpu's, so If I want to keep playing that game, I need to get a machine that will be obsolete before it's time.

Not sure whether to go ahead, and buy it, or forget it, and wait for a newer MBP, or MBA for that matter later this year/ next year?

Do you HAVE to do anything right now?

If not then don't. You have questions that will be answered in time. There's a lot of Intel macs currently out there, you'll at least be able to buy a good used one - if not a refurb from Apple - for years to come.
