I got an Iphone 3Gs with a screen from a friend. I replaced the glass and continued using it. After a while the touch receptors stopped working. I ordered another screen and installed it. When i pushed the display into the body, the screen went white, and it has had the colored lines on and off for a while. Voice control and all the buttons still work. What part(s) do i need to replace?

Thanks,
Andrew

Take it part and make sure all the connections have been seated correctly. I was amazed at the sensitivity of some of them.

1. Did you ground yourself while you did this? Static damage can fry that thing forever.
2. Where did you buy the parts? Cheap or damaged parts that you could have bought could be the problem.
3. How hard did you press on it? It could also be a hardware problem.
